performance  Imani believes performance exists as a mysterious language rooted in the primordial,  the intuitive,  the soulful, sacred and universal.  Through performance we enter into a conversation with the transcendent within ourselves and with others.

Entering the world of music, light, movement and feeling, Imani seeks to connect with gratitude towards God for enabling her to overcome harrowing circumstances through this beautiful. path

photography  Imani's love of evocative imagers drives her growing photographic explorations.  Playing with mood, lighting, music and  space, she seeks to capture the feelings & stories surrounding her, crystallizing memories often lost.

film  Beginner's Luck is a recurring theme in Imani's life and Film is no exception.

Beginning with  a seemingly innocent class assignment, Imani's first Short Dance Film MUJER NOIRE was selected for the 2021 DANCE ON CAMERA FESTIVAL with Dance On Camera / Film at Lincoln Center in NYC, and then traveled to Seoul ,Korea to be shown in the 5th ANNUAL SEOUL DANCE ON FILM FESTIVALl.

.

These experiences opened doors for Imani she didn't know existed, and with film enabling images to dance, acts as a natural extension of Imani as a movement explorer.

Imani's videography premiered in Moraga, California in 2022, in UNFOLD, an immersive dance film exploration of the sculpture-architecture of Alexander Calder created in collaboration with Tara Howse Dance.

DREAM ON! a documentary of Imani's unusual path from

Foster Care to Performance is in Pre-Production. You can find more about that project HERE.
