PERFORMANCE | Imani believes performance to be a spiritual practice; a mysterious language rooted in the primordial, the intuitive, the soulful, sacred and universal.

Through performance we enter a process of transformation the confines of identity, and enter into conversation with the transcendent that connects us all. Transversing the world of music, light, movement and feeling, each performance seeks to invite the audience into a communal experience based in compassion.

Imani's interest as a director - performer - creator spans a range of genres and purposes. From restaging classical and modern works, to commissioning new choreographic concepts, she endeavors to engage in performance in both traditional and non-traditional settings . Through touring, Imani seeks to utilize performance as service and outreach.
PHOTOGRAPHY | Imani's love of evocative imagers drives her growing photographic explorations. Playing with mood, lighting, music and space, she seeks to capture the feelings and stories surrounding her, crystallizing memories often lost in the transition.

FILM | Film allows images to dance, and is a natural extension of as a movment explorer. Imani's first Short Dance Film MUJER NOIRE was selected for the 2021 DANCE ON CAMERA FESTIVAL in conjunction with FIlm at Lincln Center, and then traveld to Seoul Korea to be shown in the 5th Annual Seoul Dance on Film Festival.

Limited Edition Prints & Publications of Photographs and Stills are available in a our shop, with 50% of all proceeds going directly to The Foster Arts Fund.
INSTALLATION & VISUAL ART | Installation and Visual Art are a growing part of our artistic process. Having a love of Architecture and Scupture has enabled me to see Installation as a powerful and visceral medium by which to engage the public in shared discourse.

DOCUMENTARY | We are currently in Pre-Production of an autobiographical documentary on Imani's unusual path from Foster Care to Ballet and the importance of Faith and Arts.
